
There’s a lot of stuff cooking at WODcast skunkworks. And we’re really excited to show you over the next few weeks. One feature that we’re really excited about launching is a refreshed dashboard. We realized that our performance tracking needed some improvements when it came to visualizing individual progress over time and from a high-level perspective, show how I did without having to scan through a leaderboard full of many athletes.
Some of the questions we asked ourselves were:
1) Why do Crossfit performance graphs have to be so complicated? Is there a simpler, more friendlier way of looking at how I did?
2) Is there a more emotional and visual way of viewing performance graphs that will get me excited as an individual?
3) What is a symbol that can act as a graphical element to represent performance that is iconic to WODcast alone?
This isn’t about re-inventing graphs. It’s about doing it the best way and the easiest way for the majority of us to understand. We said no to all this line graph, energy output bullshit. This ain’t rocket science. And, it’s over played. We want to take away all that muck, and give you the most important things you’ll want to know. At the end of the day, it’s really simple what we all care about the most. And on top of this, we want to provide a really really really ridiculously sexy visual element that will ultimately motivate you to do more and strive to be at the top everyday.
